The Show Goes On.....The 39th Anniversary of Kripa Foundation celebrated through a Virtual Event for all Centres.

15th August 2020 marked the 39th Foundation Day of Kripa. On this day staff of various Kripa Foundation centres participated in a joint  virtual  meeting over Google Meet. It was an interesting programme with audio - visual  presentations; songs, poetry and speeches all rapped into one hour. Fr. Cajetan D. Menezes, Managing Trustee gave the welcome address & spoke on reaching out to those afflicted and affected by substance abuse, people living with HIV/AIDS and the ethos of Kripa; the role of the staff, the quality and standards in maintaining patient care and taking Kripa to greater newer heights. Fr. Cajetan paid tribute to the COVID19 warriors, and mentioned the shocking loss of our medical director Dr. Hemant Patil last month, and expressed his sadness and gratitude on behalf of the organisation.

Mr. Abou Mere, Regional Director, Kripa North East India congratulated Fr. Joe H. Pereira, Founder Trustee for his vision and shouldering a huge task in providing services to drug users, alcoholics, and People afflicted by HIV AIDS for many years. 
He thanked Fr. Cajetan  Menezes for giving him a platform to present his views and opinions on, ‘The Challenge of Reaching out to Substance abusers during the COVID-19 Pandemic’ and commended his leadership skills that are evident in his systematic approach and able leadership that will help Kripa to grow to new heights with many innovative and scientific evidence programmes.

He highlighted the challenges faced by the organization in reaching out to the substance abusers  and spoke on various policies of the Narcotic Drugs Act 1985  to help curb the menace of Addiction. An important milestone of Kripa Anjuna centre, Goa completing 30 yrs was highlighted at the programme.

The programme concluded with a vote of Thanks by Shrikant and Serenity prayer by Fr. Cajetan D. Menezes. It was a first all India joint event for staff & centres.

Kripa Foundation Founder Trustee Fr. Joe H Pereira bestowed with the "Life Time Achievement Award" by Rotary International in Mumbai





On the 05th of July 2020, Rev. Fr. Joseph H. Pereira, the Founder of Kripa Foundation, graced the seminar on Addiction Prevention as an Honorable Panelists for Project Disconnect - PAN India Seminar on Drug De-addiction Seminar under the aegis of Rotary International. Rev. Fr. Joseph H. Pereira was extremely honored to be bestowed with the ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ presented by the legendary cricket icon Kapil Dev.
Rev. Fr. Joseph H. Pereira spoke on prevention and effective recovery of Addiction in India. He explained the common reasons for Addiction and the prognosis of severely affected. He illuminated the audience about the modalities of treatment in Rehabilitation centres.
The seminar accompanied 2500 Sr. College Students from various faculties across India and also Rotarian's from the Mumbai/ Thane area and Rotary Governors from all parts of our country.
Let’s join hands together to applaud Rev. Fr. Joseph H. Pereira, as he teams up to collaborate with Rotary International to continue to work towards its pledge of eradicating the Drug menace from India.

Fr. Cajetan D. Menezes is the Director & Managing Trustee of Kripa Foundation since June, 2018. His association with Kripa goes back to 1994, as an employee (1994 -95), Guiding board(GB) member since 2014, Board of Trustees from 2016 and Managing Trustee from 2018. Father Menezes has authored several books in the field of marriage & family studies. As Managing Trustee of Kripa he is bringing in innovation and enhancing the quality of patient care.
In October 2014 Pope Francis invited him to represent Asia as a field expert to participate in the III Extraordinary Synod of Bishops’ on Family in Rome, Italy.
Till recently he was the Director, Family Apostolate (Archdiocese of Bombay) and Director & Managing Trustee of Snehalaya Family Service Centre, Mumbai till May 2018 [2003 – 2018]. Snehalaya Family Service Centre, Mahim is the oldest family counselling centre in the city of Mumbai.
He was also the Director for the Family Ministry for the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia (UAE, Oman & Yemen) till June 2017. [2011 -2017].
Mr. Bosco D'Souza NPD of Kripa Foundation was part of the webinar . Team Kripa answered many questions of the live viewers .

Fr. Joe meets and is felicitated by the AA and Al Anon Groups in Shillong.


During his visit to Shillong for the inauguration of the new dream centre of Kripa Shillong. Fr Joe took time off and met the AA and Al Anon communities of Shillong. Fr Joe had an input for them and conducted an FST meeting. Fr. Joe was felicitated by the group with a engraved in wood Serenity Prayer  in thanksgiving for visiting them.

Fr. Joe and Fr Cajetan Visit Kripa Guwahati - Fr Joe takes and input and yoga session for patients.

During the visit to Mehgalaya, Fr Joe and Fr Cajetan took time off to visit Kripa Guwahati. During their stay Fr Joe and Fr Cajetan interacted with staff and patients and hand a sumptuous lunch catered by the in-house chef.
The joy was when Fr. Joe took time to have an input for the patients and  conducted a yoga session with Prayanama for the patients.
Indeed a memorial visit to have the Founder Trustee and Managing Trustee to be with their Kripa Family of Guwahati.

Congratulations to Fr. Joe & Kripa Shillong Team!

It was a wonderful Inauguration function!

Fulfilling one of his long cherished dreams to have our own building in Mehgalaya.
Fr. Joe blessed & inaugurated this beautiful building complex with Kripa Victoria Old Age home in East Khasi Hills just outside Shillong. The new centre has Private rooms, dormitories and a yoga hall. *To contact Kripa Shillong call #*

Kripa Family rejoices and celebrates with our Kripa Shillong Family. The rehab centre has a horticulture unit, piggery, poultry farm, fishery project, volley ball & basketball court. 

We thank God for this new gift to our Kripa family who are dedicated to serve those afflicted and affected by addiction & HIV-AIDS.
