HAPPY ANNIVESARY KRIPA PUNE

Kripa Pune celebrated its 12th Anniversary on the 28th of August 2011. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Guest of Honors DCP Dr. Sanjay Shinde and noted Social activist Smt. Kusun Karnik along with Fr. Joe, followed by speeches guest of Honors and a anniversary greeting of love and admiration to Kripa Pune and its staff. The program was well attended by about 300 people of ex-patients , their relatives, AA fellowship members and Kripa staff.

It was an opportunity for resident clients in treatment and staff of ALL FAITH to enjoy the occasion, highlighting the joyous nature of UNITY.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT KRIPA VASAI

Kripa Vasai commemorated the 64th Independence Day on 15th August 2011 at the centre itself. Clients and Staff gathered in the grounds and reverently stood to attention as the flag was hoisted.
Mr. Santosh Walvaikar, Member of the Health Committee, Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation was the Guest of Honour and gave a motivating speech. In-house clients also presented speeches on ‘Freedom from Addiction & Drugs’.
Tournaments were arranged for the clients and staff as part of the entertainment programme and gifts were presented to all.
A sumptuous lunch was arranged by the kitchen staff and a few clients.

Fr. Joe celebrates- Thanksgiving Eucharist for Kripa's 30th Anniversary

On 15th August, Fr Joe celebrated the Holy Eucharist in Thanksgiving to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Kripa at the 9.30 am service in Mount Carmel's, Bandra. The mass was concelebrated by Fr Bill ( from the U. S. of A ) our Kripa ambassador in the West who completed 50 years of his priesthood, accompanied by Fr Seraphine. Mr. Francis Fernandes conducted the choir at the service.The mass was well attended by Kripa staff from all over the country, along with well wishers and parishioners of Mount Carmel Church.

Kripa felicitates Fr. Bill for his 50 years of Priesthood

Immediately after the Eucharistic service, well wishers, patients and staff collected in the Kripa annexe to felicitate Fr. Bill. The program commenced with the cutting of a cake, after which Fr Joe spoke about his association with Fr Bill for the past 24 years. Mr. Joey Carvalho from Goa was the next to speak, and shared his experience and fondness for Fr Bill. In his reply Fr. Bill shared his gratitude to Fr. Joe, and mentioned how Kripa was a home to him in India. Few of the staff, well wishers and patients entertained the gathering with their songs. The program was also graced by Mr. and Mrs. Ajay and Rishita Agrawal of Nagpur.

Light refreshments were served and later a sumptuous lunch.

Fr. Joe announces the New Guiding Board of Kripa Foundation

On the occassion of its 30th anniversary, Fr Joe announced the new Guiding Board of Kripa Foundation, consisting of Mr. Julio Rebeiro IPS (RETD), Mr. R.H. Mendonca IPS (RETD), Mr. D. Sivanandan IPS (RETD), and Mr Naval Bajaj, Additional Commissioner, Mumbai Police South Zone.

Later that evening at the Kripa Nite 2011 celebrations, Fr Joe in his address to the audience, thanked the new Board and looked forward to their support and help in the years ahead.

www.ubuntu-yoga.de , Hamburg, Germany heard about Fr. Joe and Kripa Foundation while visiting Goa, India.

A phone call to Fr. Joe in Mumbai, and the next day she was at Kripa Bandra. She visited the centre and also participated at Fr. Joe's Iyengar Yoga evening class at Mount Carmel Church Hall.Bandra.
