Fr. Joe speaks to a packed audience in Uberlândia Brazil on Yoga and Christian Meditation for the treatment of Chemical Dependency

on the 21st of October Fr. Joseph Hilary Pereira , Founder and Managing Trustee of Kripa Foundation spoke to a packed audience in the city of Uberlândia in the State of Minas Gerias, Brazil. The programme was well organised and an initiative of  Councilman Mr. Fellipe  Attiê .

Fr. Joe spoke on the blend of Yoga and  Christian meditation and how it has helped so many across the Globe in being away one day at a time from Chemical Dependency. The highlight of the programme was young Maria Fernanda Santos  Attiê  daughter of Mr.and Mrs Fillpe Attiê,who asked Fr. Joe, as to How did he feel being close to Blessed Mother Teresa. Whist Fr. Joe replied one could see many in the audience share a tear of solidarity and love for the work that Fr. Joe does to help this world be a drug free life.

A Song for the Children....by Star Singers- St.Ulrich Öflingen -Germany


In the cold winter night just as Christ was born little children of  Star Singers go about singing Carols to collect Love offerings for Fr. Joe' work especially for under privileged  children. 

This year the Star Singers collected over € 7100, namely for the children living with HIV/AIDS. Indeed a noble cause by noble children and their guardians.

The Spiritual Paradox of Addiction - Workshop Day 2


On day two the workshop commenced with the introduction by Dr. Bedi of Mr. Luke Waldo who conducted a Marathon half day session on Child Witness to Domestic Violence: How to build resiliency in children who suffer adverse childhood experiences and toxic stress. Which included interactive sessions and later on question and answers.
The afternoon session was conducted by Dr Ashok Bedi. M.D. on Resilience Cultivation in Recovering Addicts – a Neuroscience and Analytical Perspective. Dr. Bedi also demonstrated the latest technology of how one could measure different brain waves onscreen.
After the sessions Dr. Bedi presented Fr. Joe with a set of 5 recordings of previous sessions of Jungian teachings. Fr. Joe and Dr Bedi presented each participant with a series of these DVD's and also a certificate of participants.
The workshop ended with on enriched note of knowledge surely empowering the staff to be able to counsel their clients more clinically. 
Fr. Joe thanked Dr Bedi and Mrs. Usha Bedi for their valuable time and knowledge spent h Kripa. Fr. Joe also thanked Mr and Mrs. Luke Waldo and their children for being with us and especially Luke for teaching us new dimensions in how to build resiliency in children who suffer adverse childhood experiences and toxic stress.

Jungian Dr. Ashok Bedi M.D. & Fr. Joe conduct workshop on Spiritual Paradox of Addiction- Day 1



Mumbai Jungian centre and Kripa Foundation is conducting a two day workshop on " The Spiritual Paradox of Addiction by renowned Jungian Dr. Ashok Bedi M.D. from Milwaukee US.The workshop is being held at Dr. Leo Barnes Foundation, Bandra Mumbai.

The workshop commenced with a Prayer and Meditation service by Fr. Joe, who later  introduced Dr.Ashok Bedi to the participants. Fr.Joe further mentioned that it was the Grace of God to have Dr. Bedi train the staff of Kripa as his new teachings will help Kripa face the challenges, that are today rising at an alarming rate in the treatment of addiction.

The day long workshop conducted by Dr. Ashok Bedi included topics on Spiritual Paradox of Addiction, Faith Cultivation and case study. it was indeed an enriching experience as Dr Ashok Bedi and Fr. Joe conducted the session with a lot of interactions and group participation.

After lunch Fr. Joe conducted a superb light meditation with the participants to pep them up for the afternoon session of Dr. Bedi.

The In-house catering service of Kripa led by Lester and supported by Simon, Bryan, Chandu and Praveen prepared some excellent cuisines for Breakfast, Lunch and Tea,

As the day ended the participants who were enriched with some new teachings, went home looking forward for day two of the workshop  tomorrow,
