Training Programme on Livelihood option and micro credit- RRTC NE 11- Kripa Nagaland



The Regional Resource and Training Centre NE II organized a “five days course on Livelihood Option and Micro Credit” in collaboration with New Hope Centre, Shillong from 16th to 20th April 2013 at Youth Hostel, Shillong, Meghalaya for 25 participants from various partner NGOs.
The training was sponsored by the National Institute of Social Defense, Ministry of social justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. Resource persons from Government as well as private sectors were invited to share the schemes and options that can be avail by the NGOs through various procedures which will assist the drug abuse clients after their recovery for a sustainable life.
 
The objective was to enhance the knowledge of Livelihood options accessible in the region for sustainability of the NGOs and the recovery people in particular. The content of the course was also designed to impart an integrated understanding of Micro Insurance for the benefit of the community in various sectors. A one day field visit to Synroplang Self help Group, Mawpat was arranged with a view to explore the idea of livelihood options accessible for the NGOs and also to give an insight of the success stories of Self help groups. Topics covered were, Micro credit, Book keeping, Micro credit & entrepreneurship, Micro finance, Livelihood option, Career guidance and planning and Skill Development.
