Mr. .Haroon and Mrs. Rehana Ebrahim along with their children Rubina and Ebu invited Fr. Joe to send the street children from Kripa Dharavi, to Goa for a holiday to celebrate the birthday of their son Ebu, at their residence in Goa. This was a birthday of a kind, a celebration that was spread over 5 days. The children were very excited to see the home of Ebu, as they had never been even close to a gate of such houses. They could not believe that this would be their home for the next 5 days. The children were so touched by the Ebrahim's hospitality that they soon felt at home and wanted, spontaneously calling Ebu- Bhaiya, Mrs. Rehana Ebrahim- Mummy, Mr. Haroon Ebrahim- Papa, . Rubina- Didi, Meher- Didi, Fr. Joe -Papa Joe. Uncle Khemchand, Fr-Bosco and Rajan and Deepak –Sir.
The children reached Goa in the bus donated by Celebrate Bandra Trust.Driven by Uncle Khemchand all the way from Mumbai. Fortunately, Fr. Joe was in Goa for a Conference by CACSAN (CMAI), and spent quality time with the children.Submitted by
